your big day
01
GETTING READY & FIRST LOOKS
If you and your partner opt for a first look, it’s typically scheduled 1-2 hours before the ceremony begins. This moment gives the photographer a chance to snap some private, heartfelt shots of just the two of you. Afterward, we’ll usually shift to photographing the wedding party—bridesmaids, groomsmen, and any family or friends included in the group. Doing this ahead of time can free up your cocktail hour, letting you both enjoy it without rushing.
Your photo team will typically arrive 2-3 hours before the ceremony.
02
Ceremony & family photos
For your wedding day, I suggest setting aside thirty minutes for the ceremony itself, giving enough time for the vows, rings, and any personal touches to unfold naturally. After that, plan on at least twenty minutes for family formals—those key shots with parents, siblings, and close relatives. This window allows the photographer to capture everyone without feeling squeezed, keeping the mood light and the pace steady. Getting these done efficiently means you can slip into the reception sooner, leaving more room for you and your partner to soak in the celebration.
i recommend allotting thirty minutes for the ceremony and at least 20 minutes for family formals.
03
cocktail hour & reception
My team and I will try to help you maximize your time with your favorite people during your cocktail hour. We might pull you away for some stunning portraits of you and your partner during sunset, though. During the reception, we will capture shots of decor, speeches, first dance, and other important moments. If you two choose to do a formal exit, such as a sparkler send-off, we will typically stick around to capture those final shots.
this is my favorite part, its time to party!!
